Thanksgiving 2007

This is Olivia, Reese, and Elijah at Great-Grandma Harris's house for Thanksgiving. There was quite a crowd there once again this year. It's so nice to have a big family. All the kids had so much fun playing together. I love this picture so much! I actually got all three kids to smile at the same time. It is a feat in itself to get Reese to smile for any pictures let alone three kids at once. Yeah!

Day at the Cider Mill

We had a fun family day at the Cider Mill in Glastonbury, CT. The girls loved feeding all the animals, especially the goats who kept trying to lick them. Reese had a hard time leaving the animals but when we got to the pumpkins she wanted to try to take them all home. Olivia tried to find the biggest pumpkin she could find. So we got a big one and a few smaller ones that the girls could carry. We finished off our visit with an apple cider homemade donut which was very YUMMY!

Reese & Olivia at One Year

Here's Reese at one year. Yes, I know there's a bubble in between her eyes, but until I learn how to use Adobe Photoshop, it's there to stay. I thought these pictures were just too cute. Don't Olivia and Reese look like true sisters?

These are my two favorite pictures of Olivia at one year old. I can't believe how much she's grown and changed over the past 4 years. She's a cutie!

St. Martins, New Brunswick

This is Brightwater Cottage. We stayed at this quaint cozy cottage for a week and absolutely loved it. It was so peaceful and quiet in St. Martins, NB but there were so many things for us to do and keep busy. The view was pretty awesome too. We stayed on a miniature horse farm and woke up every morning to horses out grazing right outside of our cottage. Olivia got to ride horses everyday so she was in her glory and Reese couldn't get enough of them either. Every time Reese saw a horse she would say "Sorsie, Sorsie (horsie)" about twenty times in one sentence. From exploring beaches and sea caves to riding horses and walking the Fundy Trail (that was a work out!) to seeing the Hopewell Rocks and the fantastic scenery, we didn't want to leave. I feel like I'm giving a commercial but I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and have a good time. Here's their website http://www.fundyfarmcottages.com/ check it out!!!

Roger & Maria's Wedding, NH

On June 9th, 2007 we went up to New Hampshire for my brother, Roger's, wedding. The night before we stayed at a 19th century reunion house right across the border in Vermont. We had a great time with our family and a wonderful time getting to know Maria's family. Olivia and Reese had fun entertaining everyone. I tried to show Olivia the fireflies that came out that night but it was so pitch black outside that she didn't want to stick around and see any of them glowing. I guess we're too used to the city lights were we live. There was a cute little wooden playhouse outside that Olivia and Reese got to play in, in the morning. Roger and Maria's wedding was so beautiful and peaceful. You could just tell how much they loved eachother and how happy they were. It was a great day!

These are some of the flowers from my garden this spring.

Bearded Iris

Peony (I have no idea if I spelled it right)

Poppy

Olivia just finished her first session of swimming lessons. Slowly but surely, she's becoming less afraid of the water. She wouldn't even get in before but now she's acting like a pro (as long as someone is holding her). You never know, maybe she'll be the next gold medal Olympic champion for swimming. She did embarrass me a little though when she kept telling her swimming teacher that she can make bubbles in the water every time she farts. Olivia has no problem with shyness.

All the Kiddledees

Reese and Olivia hanging out.

Elijah (our nephew)

Cute as a "bug in a rug". Here's Reese and her best buddy Sierra. They're only a week apart in age and love to steal toys from eachother. I watch Sierra everyday so it's nice for Reese to have a friend/cousin (3rd to be exact) to play with everyday. They're getting older and starting to play (and fight) with eachother more and more. It's fun to see them reach each mile stone and discover new things. I watch my nephew Elijah, too. We have a houseful of kids but it's really nice for Olivia and Reese to have someone to play with. Some days are more challenging than others but it's so much fun and I love 'em all to pieces. I know they'll all grow up so fast so I'm enjoying every moment while they're small. Aren't they too cute?

Our Family

This blog is for all our family and our friends who wish to be kept updated on our lives here. Olivia's growing like a weed. Turned four already and is so funny. She makes us laugh every day. Reese just turned a year in June and she is such a busy little girl. She's so interested in everyone and everything. She melted our hearts this morning when Rob said goodbye to her before going off to work she instantly said, "Bye, Daddy" for the first time in her cute little baby voice. God has just given us the greatest kids a parent could have and we're so thankful for them everyday.
